Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) CONCERTA® is indicated for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). CONCERTA® must be used as part of a treatment program in which pharmacological measures alone have proven to be insufficient. A comprehensive treatment program for ADHD must also include other therapeutic strategies (psychological, educational and social) for patients with this disorder. The diagnosis must be made according to the criteria of the DSM-IV or the guidelines in the ICD-10 and must be based on a clinical history and complete evaluation of the patient. Treatment with this medicine (CONCERTA®) should be based on a detailed evaluation of the patient’s symptoms. Stimulants should not be used in patients with symptoms secondary to secondary environmental factors and / or in other primary psychiatric conditions, including psychosis. Education is essential and psychosocial intervention is often helpful.
